Hello, my name is Andrea and I am the hands inside the puppets. I worked as a kindergarten teacher in Austria for 12 years and, after coming to Australia with my husband Kim, continued teaching.

In 2011 we decided to travel around Australia and during this trip my husband bought me a hand puppet whenever he saw a cute one, starting with Kevin the Koala.

In September 2016 on a trip up north we decided to start Baerlie and Friends Puppet Show. Kim built a theatre and the Puppets starting performing in Exmouth and Carnarvon on the way home.

Back in Perth more puppets arrived by mail, backdrops, props and stories were added and, after a lot of preparation, in November 2017 the puppets starting performing in Perth at markets and private parties.
